Additional Info

During this Centennial Year, we want to share a bit of our shared, Hollywood history with you.

Join us as we host a monthly movie night - Inspirations - where we watch some of the most beloved Hollywood classics, some with inspiration or guidance from our Founding Rector, Fr. Isaac Neal Dodd.

This month's movie is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947)! Starring Danny Kaye and Rosalind van Hoorn, we meet Walter Mitty, a proofreader who hails from New Jersey who is at the beck and call of his mother, his boss, his fiancée, his fiancée's would-be suitor, and his fiancée's mother! In order to escape his hectic life, he imagines all sorts of exciting and creative possible lives for himself, fueled by the material he proofreads. But all of a sudden, he gets caught up in a real-life adventure much like the ones he reads! Caught up in this adventure (that seems unbelievable even to him), Walter attempts to hide his double life from his mundane family and friends. Eventually, he acquires the courage to stand up to those who kick him around (Wikipedia, IMDB, MSN).

We will have a short "FAQ" and Fun Facts! talk about The Secret Life of Walter Mitty prior to its showing. Doors open at 6:30pm!

We hope you'll join us! Some light refreshments and faire food will be provided, including popcorn! What movie is complete without it?
