Latest Update:  A donor has come forward eager to pay off the remainder on Tympanum Project!  The account is now clear and this wonderful project has greatly added to the beauty of the historic St. Mary of the Angels Church.  God's blessings to all who contributed to this project.

St. Mary of the Angels has finally completed a mosaic on the Tympanum (over the entrance doors) which was originally intended as a part of the historic Church but was unfortunately left incomplete.  As part of our 80th Anniversary on Pentecost (May 23rd), St. Mary's has raised the funds to complete the mosaic and finally finish the facade of this beautiful historic landmark.

The design is finished and will feature two kneeling angels on both sides of the original ceramic mandorla of Our Lady, which has now been gold-leafed (as part of an earlier preparation for the project).  The mosaic will be completed by Mia Tavonatti of the Svelata Foundation.  An initial gift from the family of Fr. James H. Jordan, second Rector of St. Mary's, got the project going. It was a project he longed to see completed.
